We heard from Marea that Gato has finally been allowed out on his own: "Day 11 and Gato was allowed out. I don't know who was more scared, me probably. He has been out four days previously on a harness with varying results, and after this he was climbing up the doors and windows and yowling. So today we buttered his paws and off he went. The lounge window and the bedroom door have been open all day and he came back loads of times very vocally to tell us how clever he is. Now asleep on the bed and [...]

Gato is becoming quite the correspondent, keeping us up to date with how he's settling in to his new home in the UK: Dear friends, on Tuesday I arrived in England after a very long journey through Portugal, Spain, France and finally the Channel Tunnel, mostly in the company of barking dogs and a quiet tortoise, but two nice ladies looked after me and fed me treats. (I still like girls even though apparently I've had the operation!) Marea and David came for me in the afternoon and I slept most of the way back in my new basket to [...]
Gato's owners wrote to let us know how Gato is settling in to his new home. David said: "Although Gato was unhappy to start with, he was asleep in the car after a few miles. He was excited with his new home exploring and looking for escape routes. He slept at the foot of the bed last night and he's asleep again. As you can see he isn't unhappy at all. Let's hope he doesn't escape. Thank you for a great service and for taking such care of Gato and keeping in touch." Gato fast asleep Gato asked Marea to [...]
Our tiniest passenger Anselmo, our most vocal cat Gato, and great mates Bobby and Serita, have all been reunited with their owners. Smiles and kisses with Anselmo Gato tucked into his owner's car for the final leg of his journey An emotional reunion for Bobby and Serita — back with their owner after a year's separation
Until Sammy and Gremlin joined our trip, all of Gato's travelling companions had been dogs. He was delighted to see Sammy and Gremlin get on board, and made them very welcome by singing and chatting to them. "At last," cries Gato, "some civilised company!"
Gato is moving with Animalcouriers from Duna Douradas Beach Club in the Algarve to his new home in Staines. This clever cat chose his new family by arriving on the terrace while they were enjoying a gin and tonic and some crisps. Not only did Gato tuck into the crisps, he also sat on his owner-to-be's head! And that was the start of a wonderful new relationship and a new home for Gato. Little Gato says goodbye before his trip Gato takes a look around Couriers S and L were delighted when collecting Gato to [...]
When we got off the ferry from Greece, it fell to Oberon to charm the Italian customs officers who came to inspect the Animalcouriers van. As the four officers peered into our van, clever Oberon popped his head out of his hammock. "Bello gato!" chorused the officials. Then they saw Sunny and all of the dogs. "Belli belli!" came the unanimous verdict. Proof, if ever it was needed, of the power of cute! This is Figaro, who's waiting in the UK for his new playmate, Oberon. A right pair of looky likeys they'll make! Oberon [...]

All photographs on this site are of our animal clients. All countries mentioned are destinations to which we have delivered animals. All species mentioned, we have handled. Cannot recommend Animalcouriers enough — they were brilliant. Richard brought our Peggy to Spain from the UK. She arrived safe and happy, and Richard looked after her so well. Having lost our other dog to bone cancer 3 weeks before, we were so upset to hand our Peggy over, and so worried about how she would be on her own, but Richard did a brilliant job. Massive thank you to the [...]
